Meds For Less is a London-based telehealth company serving 41,513+ registered users with 43,795+ treatments delivered. Their promise: "Accessible, private healthcare… manage your health in a modern, convenient way." I led product design and full WooCommerce implementation — including custom plugin work — for a platform where medical compliance and conversion must coexist.
01 — PROBLEM
Healthcare commerce is not standard e-commerce
Patients need speed and discretion. Regulators need GMC prescribers, GPhC pharmacies, and audit-ready consultation records. The live site communicates trust before browse:
- GPhC Registered Pharmacies — licensed medicines from UK pharmacies
- GMC Registered Prescribers — UK-based clinicians review consultations
- Next Day Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 24 / Special Delivery
- Secure Payment — Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard
The product challenge was scaling dozens of treatment categories (weight loss, sexual health, dermatology, travel health, pain relief, anxiety/depression, asthma, allergies) without losing the 3-step clarity of how ordering works.
02 — APPROACH
How It Works as the UX anchor
The live purchasing flow is explicit on the homepage:
01 — Browse treatment options from home
02 — Complete a consultation — short text-based health questions
03 — Receive delivery — prescription routed to GPhC pharmacy if approved, then shipped discreetly
For OTC products and supplements, checkout skips the prescription step — a critical UX split I designed into category templates so users know which path they are on before investing time in forms.
03 — DEVELOPMENT
WooCommerce extended for telehealth logic
I implemented the storefront in WooCommerce with plugin-level customization:
- Consultation-linked checkout — form data routes to GMC doctor review before pharmacy dispatch
- Category architecture at scale — Popular Treatments grid plus A-Z condition finder ("Know your condition but not the medication?")
- Trust and compliance copy — GDPR adherence, discreet packaging, cybersecurity audits
- Content marketing integration — blog articles (prescription vs OTC acne, ED treatment options, HRT timelines) supporting SEO and patient education
Headquarters for correspondence: Suite 131, 73 Holloway Road, London N7 8JZ.

Meds For Less demonstrates what product-led healthcare UX looks like at volume: browse like retail, consult like a clinic, deliver like a pharmacy — all in one WooCommerce stack I designed, built, and extended for real operational requirements.
